Propane: One of the Few Things Farmers Can Always Count on.

Badger Energy and Wisconsin Agriculture are synonymous. Badger Energy Services LLC is owned and controlled by four farm supply cooperatives, three rural electric cooperatives and one investor owned utility. More than 1.5 billion gallons of propane are used on more than 660,000 farms every year. In fact, over half of the farms in the United States use propane for a wide variety range of applications because of its convenience, portability, transportability, and environmental advantages.

Delivered right to your farm, propane can be stored in underground or above ground tanks, so you can use it whenever and wherever you need it---from the milk house to the back 40. It heats the parlor in your barn and the one in your house! It can also be used to flame weeds, control pests, kill mosquitoes and dry your crop. In fact it does everything but drive your tractor.

Propane’s cost efficiency and reliability mean you can count on it to help you keep operating costs down and productivity up from one end on the farm to the other.
